Bartholomew Park
Several trails with many panoramic views of Sonoma and San Pablo Bay climb about the hills above Bartholomew Park and Buena Vista wineries. The pathways are steep in places, and not open during the Winter. Begin in the western parking lot of Bartholomew Park, at 1000 Vineyard Lane in Sonoma.
The Bicycle Trail
This paved pathway reaches across town 1.5 miles, from the Sebastiani Winery at Fourth Street East to Maxwell Farms Regional Park on the Sonoma Highway. It is an easy walk past the historic buildings of downtown Sonoma and the home of General Vallejo, with many interesting side trips available through pleasant neighborhoods.
The Overlook Trail
About three miles long, this trail will take you into the hills above the city of Sonoma. Spectacular views of the city and San Pablo Bay beyond reward the gentle climb that is relatively easy for all ages. The trailhead is in the parking lot of the Mountain Cemetary, just beyond the Veterans Memorial Building on First St. East.
