Sonoma is a nicely compact city so Walking is a wonderful way to experience all it's charm.

Sonoma County has been described as a "Mecca of Bicycling" and the City of Sonoma is its first Bicycle Friendly City as designated by The League of American Bicyclists. Sonoma has a developing network of bicycle routes, lanes and paths the connect various parts of the city with easy access to the surrounding areas. A day on a bicycle around Sonoma is a day well spent.

Driving is an option for exploring the city but not really necessary unless one wants to get across town. The city has a nice city center located around The Sonoma Square
